A Note From The Founder
Hello, I’m Nhi Võ.
With 8+ years of hands-on experience in Vietnam's luxury hospitality and event sectors, I offer a rare insider's perspective into how the high-end service industry truly operates in my country. My work on Vietnam Wedding Guide (VWG) is a distillation of this deep operational knowledge, created with one clear goal: to bring clarity to a complex and often opaque market.
But my purpose extends beyond that. I see every destination wedding as a chance to contribute to a larger vision for our country: the shift towards Experiential Tourism. It's about helping to evolve our national brand from 'Made in Vietnam' - a country known for manufacturing - to 'Made by Vietnam,' a nation defined by the authentic soul of its experiences: the breathtaking landscapes, the vibrant culture, the unforgettable cuisine, and the genuine warmth of its people.
Commercial Head & Partnership Strategist
This role was a pivotal transition, moving from over 6 years in 5-star hotel experiences into the specialized world of high-end wedding creation.
Key Takeaways:
- Gained a raw, unfiltered view into the planning challenges of ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clientele by leading the commercial team and personally consulting on large-scale weddings.
- Developed a practical understanding of the entire event lifecycle, from creative concept to on-site production. This provides a critical advantage, as planners who aren't deeply involved in the execution phase can have less visibility into the practical feasibility and true final costs of a creative vision.
- Identified a critical market challenge where high demand outpaces operational maturity, revealing the need for a different framework for evaluating vendors: one that prioritizes strategic problem-solving and operational resilience over constant personal contact.
- This solidified my core philosophy: in the luxury segment, there is no single ‘best’ solution, only the ‘most suitable’ partner with the right capabilities to handle an event's unique pressures.
Marketing Manager
In this role, I led the team through a major rebranding (Cekindo → InCorp Vietnam), with a core mission to improve high-intent lead quality for foreign investors. This required an insight-driven content strategy, and I immersed myself in deep research on the FDI market.
This research revealed a painful truth: the dominant global narrative framed Vietnam simply as a 'China +1' manufacturing hub. This narrow perspective, which completely overlooked the country's rich culture, cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes, became a personal source of frustration.
It was this disconnect that ignited my passion to contribute to a more sustainable economic story for Vietnam: one built not on manufacturing, but on the unique, authentic experiences that this blog now champions.
Marketing Manager
This role expanded my focus from digital marketing to holistic brand management for a leading 5-star resort, where I learned to align marketing strategies directly with high-level revenue goals.
Key Takeaways:
- Developed a real-world understanding of a resort's internal workings through intensive collaboration with all departments, from Operations and Sales to Engineering.
- This insider knowledge is the foundation of my ability to create win-win solutions, navigating the complex dynamics between a couple's vision, a planner's requirements, and a venue's operational realities.
- Gained a critical business education from inside the resort, understanding firsthand how high-end weddings are a powerful source of direct, sustainable revenue.
